Training & Workshops
Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.

Invest in Your People, Develop Your Leaders
Let me help you with your training needs. I develop face-to-face training or distance learning opportunities for organizations. Let’s have a needs assessment conversation after which I can offer you options for training that meets your organizational needs.
Today’s learners want to be engaged and interact with content rather than sit through lectures. I like the ENGAGE model from The Ken Blanchard Companies that resonates with teachers and learners.
The “E” in ENGAGE is to energize learners before the session by sending a relevant article ahead of time or completing an electronic survey. The “N” is for Navigate through the content using interactive lectures, demonstrations, stories, handouts, exercises, case studies or role-plays. The first “G” in ENGAGE stands for Generate meaning by helping learners move the learning from short-term memory to long-term memory to long-term memory. The “A” stands for Apply to real world. The second “G” stands for Gauge and celebrate. The “E” in the model stands for Extend the learning beyond the event.
Ken Blanchard’s Situational Leadership
I am trained in Ken Blanchard’s Situational Leadership® II program, the most widely taught leadership model in the world. This training opened my eyes to how leadership styles and approaches vary according to the situation.
Millions of people around the world have used Situational Leadership® II (SLII®) as the leadership model of choice to:
- Develop people, teams, and organizations.
- Establish effective relationships that bring out the best in people.
- Drive a common language of leadership in diverse work teams, across geographies, across functional groups, and at all levels within organizations.
Situational Leadership training helps people excel as self-leaders and as leaders of others. This very effective program is embraced by many of the world's most successful organizations.
The fundamental underpinning of the Situational Leadership® Model is that there is no single "best" style of leadership. Effective leadership is task-relevant, and the most successful leaders are those who adapt their leadership style to the Performance Readiness® (ability and willingness) of the individual or group they are attempting to lead or influence. Effective leadership varies, not only with the person or group that is being influenced, but it also depends on the task, job or function that needs to be accomplished.
